Donax Village On The Rise

Davie Shoring Begins Major Elevation Project at Donax Village on Sanibel Island

Buildings don’t usually fly, but on Monday, August 4 at 11 am, 11 buildings at Donax Village, including nine duplexes and two cottages, will begin their dramatic and highly anticipated 11-foot ascension into the Sanibel skyline. This ambitious elevation project, affecting 20 residents, is being expertly executed by the team at Davie Shoring.

Sanibel’s own Mayor Mike Miller will be on site to press one of the honorary buttons that will kick off the official lifting process – think of it as a launch pad moment, minus the rocket fuel, as residents cheer on.

This monumental moment is a bold and necessary step towards storm resilience and coastal sustainability. Davie Shoring is helping protect Donax Village from future flooding, one lift at a time. It’s an engineering feat, a community celebration, and a sight that truly has to be seen to be believed. A local taco truck and a Kona Ice truck will be on site to keep everyone cool and full.

For more than 30 years, Davie Shoring has continued to be the go-to experts in structural elevation, foundation repair, and flood mitigation.
