According to New Orleans coroner Jeffrey Rouse, more people died from drug-related overdoses in New Orleans than homicides early in 2016. However, few treatment centers exist that allow for long-term care to patients suffering from addiction.
The New Orleans Mission is a Christian-based recovery center that has a huge program dedicated to helping both men and women struggling with abuse or addictions. In addition, the New Orleans Mission’s 57 acre “Giving Hope Retreat” provides a year’s worth of extensive treatment for both groups victims and addicts.
This year, Davie Shoring, a New Orleans foundation repair and shoring company, collaborated with the New Orleans Mission to provide modular homes that will give 50 women who are victims of trafficking, sexual/physical abuse, and drug addiction a place to live in safety.
Davie Shoring’s belief in providing help to these causes is what has separated them from many of the other shoring and foundation repair companies in New Orleans and on the Northshore. Davie Shoring continues to serve the community and upholds their values as they provide shoring and foundation repair work.
